Tagaytay: A Relaxing Sanctuary in the Heart of the City

Got cheap tickets to Manila? If you do, it's high time you anticipate a rare getaway! Manila is normally a convenient option in case you want an action-packed and fast-paced vacation. If, on the other hand, you want something more relaxed, you may prefer to see a different place. There is a great destination that’s near the area, though: Tagaytay.

More or less a couple of hours from Manila, Tagaytay gives an immediate refuge to those who want to escape from the rapid pace of metropolis life. Typically compared to Baguio in relation to its aura, it is flocked by travelers because of its fresh air, its cool climate, and its spectacular landscapes.

Tagaytay offers exciting spots to visit, sites of fascination for most kinds of tourists. The Taal Volcano is its most popular sight, and guests visit Tagaytay for this. If you're looking for a site to give you the most exciting look of Taal, do not forget to check out Palace in the Sky. Picnic Grove is another place to visit (entrance fee: P50). Aside from giving a view of Taal, it also presents many other activities to try: ride a horse (P150-200), attempt the zip line (P200-P300), or ride a cable car. Or, just visit with your relatives and buddies to hang out. Cottages could be paid for P150, and you can bring food inside the park.

Should you want an up-close exploit with the volcano, there are guides who could get you there-you only have to hire a banca to carry you to the isle and a horse or donkey for climbing Taal up to the rim of the crater.

The moment you get your cheap tickets to Manila and you already reach the place, Tagaytay is merely a bus or car drive away. It is very accessible that the whole getaway could be completed in one day. And after Tagaytay, you can fly to Cebu (cheap airline tickets to Cebu are readily available) to try metropolis living with out all the headaches.
